Terms of Service
These terms describe responsible use of QiaoInk, an early-stage multilingual fiction platform based in the United States.
Age and agreements
Accounts are available to users age 13 and older. Users under 13 may not create an account. If you are a minor, author, licensing or payout agreements require parental or guardian involvement where applicable and must meet other applicable legal requirements; having an account does not mean you can independently enter those agreements.
Your account
Provide an email address you control, complete verification and keep your sign-in details private. Do not impersonate another person or use an account to misrepresent ownership of a work.
Reading and participating
Use QiaoInk lawfully and respect other readers and authors. Do not post threats, harassment, unlawful material or content you lack permission to share. Do not attempt to access another person's private data, bypass account protections or interfere with the service.
A book being readable on QiaoInk does not itself give readers permission to republish or translate it elsewhere. Respect the rights and any specific license notices associated with each work.
Content you contribute
You retain ownership of your contributions. When you submit a profile, review or other contribution for display, the proposed permission is limited to storing and displaying it as part of the feature you use. Publication and translation of a book require a separate, appropriate authorization; opening an account or claiming a work does not grant QiaoInk blanket translation rights.
Only submit material you own or are authorized to provide. Respect existing publisher agreements, exclusivity and third-party rights.
An evolving platform
QiaoInk is still developing. Features and availability may change, and errors can occur. QiaoInk does not promise particular readership, earnings or publication outcomes. These pages do not create a paid subscription, author revenue agreement or payment obligation.
Planned reading and support features
QiaoInk plans to support Credits, individual and batch reading unlocks, Boost-to-Translate and separate direct author support. These features are not activated by these terms.
Credits do not expire. Legitimately unlocked reading access stays with the reader's account. Detailed purchase, refund and access-handling terms must be settled before paid features launch; no price, batch size or free chapter count is set here.
Request Translation remains free. Boost Credits begin as holds while permission is unresolved. If permission is declined or QiaoInk cannot proceed, held Credits return to the reader's balance. They become committed only when permission is secured and QiaoInk proceeds. A Boost is a priority signal, not a guarantee of acquisition or publication. The withdrawal window, targets and other detailed Boost rules remain undecided.
Authors may accrue their agreed share of qualifying revenue before completing payout setup. The share, qualifying-revenue terms, payment provider, payout fees and payout infrastructure are not established by these pages. Direct author support is separate from reading unlocks and Boosts; its terms and payment arrangements remain undecided.
Disputes
These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or designate a predetermined venue for disputes. Arbitration and venue provisions remain intentionally deferred.
